Looking for the freshest lemons I could find, preferably with their leaves still on, I found these lovely, juicy Sicilian lemons in Waitrose in Westfield! I rushed them home, photographed them and soon they will be joining my kitchen textile collection in some guise or other. Having been photographed, they were turned into absolutely delicious juice and used in some cooking. The painting took me a while to complete, so I'm now looking at a slightly autumnal scene in the garden as I'm adding the image to my website. It's nice to be reminded of something so sunny and summery. The painting is looking wonderful in a friend's kitchen in Yorkshire.
