My old school friend Sue is a terrific photographer. I asked her to take a really good close-up photo of the bluebells in the woods near her Surrey home. She came through with the source for this painting which took a long time, not to mention a great deal of cobalt blue, cobalt violet, king's blue and numerous other blues, purples, greens and yellows, to reproduce on canvas!
